Tech-to-Tech: There's an (Nail) App for That

We are living in the digital age and as such have more resources for nails and knowledge than ever before. One of those technical advances is an app. It seems like anytime you are curious about something “there’s an app for that”. Tech to tech what apps have you found that are relevant to our industry and what do you or don’t you like about them? What devices do they work on? (iPad/iPod apps, Blackberry apps, Android apps, etc.)
I look forward to hearing about all the different apps you have discovered and in sharing maybe we can all find something new and interesting to check out!

The Pinterest app has become something my clients use a LOT to show me ideas they want for their own nails.

PicSayPro is a great photo editing app for editing photos of your own work.

Square is the app used to collect credit or debit card payments. PayPal Here is another.

Squareup credit card processing @ squareup.com. I use it to process my credit cards and it's a flat fee period! No hidden fees what so ever!

I really enjoy Pinterest, I have a board of nail art designs that I can show my clients for ideas, and also gives me a ton of new ideas:)

MY BOOK OF CLIENTS is an app for the iPhone/iPad. It allows you to organize all of your client standings with a place to include service type, formulas used, cost of service, repeat status. It will also track clients who have not been seen for a while and allow you to view income generated on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Inputting information can be tedious but I love being able to see my upcoming appointments especially when I'm projecting for time off and which clients will be affected! The app is developed by AVOCSOFT

I've been using Vagaro since the first of the year. It's an online booking system with so much more. The client can book online, but that's the LAST thing I want them to be able to do, so you can disable it. It will also send notifications and reminders to your clients. Great for those who just can't seem to remember their appts,
It also sets you up with a basic web site, directs folks to your FB page, creates reports and keeps track of inventory. Yu can also process credit cards!
$25 a month, first month free. If you get one client in that would have missed her appt, it more than pays for itself
