I’m sure we’ve all heard the old adage, “Do what you love and the money will follow.” Sadly, sometimes the money seems to have gotten lost en route. It’s a fickle guy and maybe it didn’t see us make that sharp right turn?
Luckily, for some of us that adage really does prove true, including for nail tech Pattie Yankee, who was recently spotlighted on Time.com in a list titled “9 Dream Jobs That Actually Pay”.
The article focuses on people in creative professions who are making a living doing what they love. Pattie told Time.com that she makes between $80,000 to $100,000 a year and that she’d recommend the line of work to others. “It worked out so perfectly for me as a single mom. I could arrange my schedule around taking care of my son. It also allowed me to raise him on my own and even send him to private school. Plus the amount of income you make is up to you.”
