Clay Cane Fever

One of the latest trends to sweep through the nail industry is the clay cane. Clay canes are small strips of clay that have designs on them. Techs slice the canes thin and then embed the slices into nails for quick nail art designs.

Many websites are now offering canes for purchase, you can find more here:

Have you made any new designs with clay canes? Do you find them easy to work with?

Talk about it here in our Feedback section.

I've worked with polymer clay alot covering
and baking anything I can get my hands on...
pens, salt & pepper shakers, frames.. I thought
about embedding it into nails but never tried
it and didn't know if it would work, surely
enough it can be done...Cool! Making ur own
canes are not hard to do either, make sure ur
razor blade is very sharp so the design doesn't
get mingled up.
