“We are walking because breast cancer destroys lives,” says CND’s Doug Schoon, who, along with his teammates, will be participating in the 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk on Nov. 21-23. “Our team, called ‘Beauty and the Breast,’ represents the entire professional beauty industry and this year we’ve pledged to raise $50,000,” he says. You’re invited to participate by walking alongside them or making a donation of any size.
“We’ll be walking with over 5,000 people for three days on a 60-mile trek along the coastline from La Jolla to San Diego, Calif.,” says Schoon. “We’re serious about saving lives and last year the San Diego 3-Day Walk raised over $10 million for aid and medical assistance to victims of breast cancer. The money will also help doctors and researchers conquer this terrible disease.”
