What’s Next?

By the time Adrienne’s family relocated to Raleigh, I was already a certified coach. As former coworkers and friends, Adrienne and I, of course, kept in touch. Now that she has joined a new salon in North Carolina, the process for her begins again. During a phone conversation it became clear that in order for Adrienne to achieve results in developing an entirely new clientele, in a city where she knows no one, she would benefit tremendously from hiring a coach. Since we already had a great working relationship, she felt very confident in me to not only provide some guidance, but also to hold her accountable to her goals and to make the dream of a full clientele a reality much faster.

I’m confident that coaching will help Adrienne become clear on her path, just as I became clear on mine. I’ve since left Rare Accents to start my own small, but mighty, salon, and I’m going to help Adrienne reach her goals as well. Whether building a clientele, raising your prices, starting over, opening a new salon, hiring a new team, cutting hours, or any other professional challenge, coaching can be an ideal way to reach your goals. If you want results, if you want to make a change, this story’s for you. I'm also a newbie and scared to death. I really haven't pushed trying to get clients due to the fact I do not feel that I am the best I can be. Being a Virgo is a big setback for me. I want to be the perfectionist and I know I am not. I to am from the South (South Carolina) and of course there are no good siminars or training anywhere near here. I am not a procrastinator and really want to make the best of this. I guest what I am saying is first I need to get the confidence and more training just beside the terrible school that I went to. The instructor that was teaching me, I would not pay to do my own nails. I have read NAILS mag and also NAILPRO and looked at different tapes but I need the hands on training. I have only been in business since Jan. 7th 2008 and I do no this is a slow time of year but I am sort of glad because of not knowing what I am doing. Please help.
Jan
