Stay Home If You're Sick!

It’s flu season -- Did you get your flu shot? Nat & I did but Kim didn’t and she is down for the count again! Poor girl. Last week she had three clients come in with the sniffles and not feeling well, so we are sure that's where she got it.

So we made a sign, framed it, and placed it in the bathroom for all to see. Yes, we know clients don’t read, and it is always important that we vocalize our communication to every client on our “salon rules” so we are making that effort now.

Please tell every client if they are not well how it affects us. If we're sick it affects every client we have to rebook, and that can be lots! We are a breeding meeting place for the flu because we all gather in small spaces and hold clients' hands. So be sure to wash your hands, and have the clients wash and brush their nails before every service. And if they are sick send them home with a rebooked appointment!

We @ Polished would spray down the entire salon from door knobs to tables, to chairs to everything it can be touch with lysol every night, and every morning, then after each clients came in with sniffy noses, coughing ...I don't care if it just allergy, as they all claimed it! :) I respected their choice of being in the public, but they must respect me when I try to keep my salon clean and keep those unwanted virus away. Good things they all appreciated and without flu shots, only 1 of my tech was out sick, and we asked her to stay away for a full 10 days. I absolutely agreed that you have to rebook if one came in sick, a salon isn't a place to visit when you sick!
