New Services & Holiday Retail

I’m happy that I’ve found a replacement service offering for the salon’s former massage room: a brow room. And, not just any brow room, but a Damone Roberts brow room. The salon will be the Valley location of his famed salons (the other two locations are in Beverly Hills and Manhattan).

In addition to adding Eminence Organics as a new skin care line, I’ve also added Glo Therapeutics as a second line. This lets me offer unique services like a Pumpkin and Yam Facial. I’m working on redoing the salon menu now to reflect the changed offerings. Building my skin care business has been the most difficult aspect of running my salon, so I’m hoping these changes help.

December’s looking good so far, and I’ve been working on bundling products and gift cards together to entice holiday shoppers. I’ll be offering preset gift card amounts of $50, $75, and $100, coupled with products. I’m also giving away a free bottle of nail polish to everyone who buys a $100 gift card to give them an incentive for purchasing the cards.

Hi,

I love your blog! I am in the process of opening up a nail salon and was going to open a couple of rooms, but am hesitant as well because if the primary focus is on nails, should I just do services that are more geared toward "in and out" like waxing. How is it working for you between facials or waxing? Where do you see more of the need?

Thank you!
