Q & A: Sound-proofing

What products are you using to sound-proof the rooms upstairs?
Teresa

Hi Teresa,

There will be “insulation batts,” which are sort of like sound-absorbing blankets, enclosed inside the walls of the VIP rooms. There is also R-30 roof insulation above, which a high level of insulation.

The upstairs treatment rooms will also be separated by thick glass walls from the outdoor patio, and the semi-enclosed patio itself will provide some protection from the sounds of Ventura Boulevard. Also, the upstairs sound system will run independently of the system downstairs. All of these sound absorbers should give the upstairs the spa-like feeling I’m going for.

Regards,
Robbie
