Look Good, Feel Better

What? You say Friday has already passed? Good grief the days seem to fly by more some weeks than others! My apologies to you all and Hannah for not getting a Friday celebration sent in on Friday! If excuses are your cup of tea, I was up to my ears in wedding nails and toes. It was only a 10-hour day, but a total blast! The bride was my cousin, which made it even more fun as well as an honor. Was your week busy? Not too busy to sneak in a few things to keep you trekking down the path to better health I hope ;o) I did manage to munch on carrots, cucumber, and celery throughout the day while getting everyone’s nails and toes wedding ready!

My celebration this week was easy to choose and yet a bit difficult to explain as I’m not sure how to word it, so bear with me please! I like to think of health as more than just how much you weigh. Some of my celebrations have reflected that, it can be from your mental health to your career health. Another aspect of health for me is karma. What this means to me is simple, what goes around comes around. If you have a healthy karma and put out good things, hopefully at some point in your life good things will come back to you. My celebration is completing my training as a Look Good Feel Better volunteer! This is something I have been wanting to do for many years and finally there is a program near enough to me that would take on a nail tech (some prefer cosmos). I co-facilitated my first session and it was so wonderful that I hardly knew what to do with myself afterwards. I was impressed to see the last issue of NAILS had a bit about it and I strongly recommend that you give it some consideration. The complimentary kits the women receive are put together by the American Cancer Society and contain beauty products that have been donated by companies in the industry. I was so proud to see that the kits at our session contained products from CND. It really made me even more proud to be an Education Ambassador and I did not think that was possible!

How is your karma health? Now is as good a time as any to give it a tune up, besides the better you sleep at night, the better your overall health will be.
