Breaking Through the Plateau!

Hello! Ello-ello-llo-llo-o-o-o

I'm just checking the echo to see if it echoed out of anyone else's screen or just mine ;o) Do you ever feel like you are fighting the battle to better health alone? Each individual has a struggle unique to themselves and sometimes trying to conquer everything can feel a bit lonely, even when you have support. What is your struggle that makes you feel alone? Is there a way to combat that feeling? Are you really alone or is that one of those mental tricks your mind can play? I hope that you find a way to better health and that you feel more good than bad along the journey!

My celebration this week is finally breaking through my plateau!! I woke up not feeling the best today and am actually weighing the value of a Sprite against the calories ;o) I just weighed in for the local Biggest Loser and found that I am now below the weight that brought me to a halt and began my plateau. This alone was enough to at least lift my spirits, but to make the news even better, they had the halfway results posted. If the competition had ended at the halfway point I would win! This is a huge motivator as the next two in line were not far behind me so there is no room for slacking off. There is a cash prize so I am considering several options, one is new smaller clothes and one is putting it into a one-year CD that we could cash next year and take that trip to Six Flags that we had to forgo this year.

Thanks to all of you for the support you provide, I'm not sure that I would have been able to survive a 7 month plateau on my own without giving in to the stress of it. Best wishes to you on your journey, leave feedback anytime — I would be honored to help you celebrate yourself!

P.S. Here is a picture of my now skinny ankles. LOL. I seem to lose weight in my feet and ankles before anywhere else, super annoying! Working on the calves, they have some fab muscle these days but it is still a bit hidden.
