What do you know — it’s Friday again already! How are things going for you? Has making healthy choices been easy this week? Are you enjoying your exercise choices?
I am enjoying the changes and new challenges of my exercises. The balance disks are definitely fun as far as exercise goes! I’m actually struggling to come up with a celebration this week. Maybe if some of you leave your own celebrations in the feedback I will be inspired! Things continue to be an uphill battle for me, I am at least no longer gaining weight (gave in and checked in with the scale today), which means that things are finally starting to turn around in my body. My hope is that it will continue to adjust itself and eventually reward me for my efforts! The hardest part right now is the mental battle. It is not much fun to be working so hard and not get visual results, the mirror has become my morning enemy and the stack of T-shirts has become mocking instead of inspiring. I debated sharing this much as it deviates from being upbeat and positive, but if anyone else out there struggles from PCOS, I didn’t want you to think less of yourself if it seemed like I take constant failure without feeling it. If your battle is uphill, know you are not fighting it alone by any stretch of the imagination.
What are some of your tricks for surviving the hard days? What motivates you to workout even when you feel like it isn’t doing you any good? Do you feel like there is ever a point at which giving up is an option? I like to think I will not be forced to debate that last question for myself. As long as I have my family to be healthy for, it seems the least I can do is give it my best effort. This week I am going to try working out twice a day each day instead of just doing it all at once in the day and see if spreading the workout out a bit helps me any. Hope things are going well for you, let’s keep our chins up and not let having them get us too down.
