As nail professionals who end up sitting in a chair all day, we tend to develop back problems. This exercise we do in my class is great to strengthen the lower back, and it’s easy and be done daily.
1. Lie on your stomach, face down and keep your arms crossed over your head.
2. Lift up from your torso until your chest is off the ground. (Note: There are slight varations on this exercise. You can hold your arms out straight in front of you and you can also lift your legs up off the floor as well. — Hannah)
3. Slowly lower back down and repeat eight times.
4. Increase your reps as you feel comfortable.
5. You can have someone hold your ankles if you need the help.
