And I'm Back!

Hello fellow Healthy Tech Talk bloggers and guests! I'm back from the holidays and ready to get back to my healthy lifestyle. I have to admit that I took a bit of a break over the last few months. (And to be completely honest, I pretty much abandoned all hope from Thanksgiving through New Year's.) But I enjoyed every party, every glass of wine, every not-so-healthy bite of food I took, so I'm not really complaining. I'm just admitting that I didn't follow along the healthiest of paths. With that admission, I'm planning on getting back on the program (maybe not today...it's my 36th birthday and I plan on celebrating!), going back to Weight Watchers, and committing more of my time at the yoga studio.

I haven't been to Weight Watchers since they implemented the new Momentum plan, so that will be a nice way to kick off my recommitment. And I bought a 30-session package at Bikram...I'll be there this weekend for sure! I got some great Christmas gifts to help me in my healthy lifestyle...a new yoga mat and towel from a great friend and the Hungry Girl cookbook from managing editor Sree Roy (she had my name in our NAILS secret santa gift exchange)! Support from friends and family is definitely important to achieving success in healthy living.

So how is everyone else out there doing? Assuming from the lack of updates we've been seeing, I think some of you might be right there with me. Let's use the new year as a blank slate and step back up to the plate. (Well, maybe not up to the dinner plate...ha.) I'd love to hear from more of you...our regular bloggers as well as those of you reading the blog...about how your journey is progressing.

Here are a few pics from my celebrations. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

At the big annual wine and cheese party in December with friends.

At a holiday open house with NAILS art director Danielle Parisi, my best friend Emily,
and new nail salon owner Emi Wayner.

And with my mom and little brother on Christmas day in North Carolina.

Thank you for sharing your story, Hannah...

I was so inspired by the Grail Springs book and Madeleine Marentette last year at the CND training, I've kept a daily routine since!

During the holidays it was hard to stay focused, but I used the book as my insurance to keep on track (I keep it next to my bed).

I've recommended the book to many clients, friends, relatives and colleagues in hopes that it will inspire and motivate...

As you step back up to the plate- I'd recommend carrying that book along with you :o)

Good luck!

Happy New Year!

Melissa

Hannah, great pictures! You are not alone in your struggles and I will be curious to hear about the momentum program as the commercials are hilarious. I love the fuzzy orange monster and taking the donuts out with a roundhouse kick! Good luck!
