Is It a Gemini Thing?

It is Saturday night and I am drinking Mountain Dew and eating fried bologna. “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” is in the background (Colton’s favorite). I have fallen off the triathlon wagon my friends. I went to London at the beginning of November for a week, then Vegas, and topped it off with Thanksgiving. I feel like I give 110% or nothing at all. Why can’t I find balance? Maybe this is a Gemini trait (twins — one is good and the other bad). But, I just reread all the past entries and have decided that once again every day is a choice and tomorrow I am getting to the gym.

My dance routine is going great. The show is December 22. On Tuesday night my mom is going to my practice to take pictures (just for you Hannah). Holly, don’t get jealous because then we are going to the “Y” with my orange swim cap.

I also wanted to let you all know the girl who had a 20% chance of survival went home last week. I am going to try and get by there for the holidays and paint her toes red! Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I believe it is working.

I hope all is well with each and every one of you. Happy Holidays everybody. Keep up the good work!

Jen, as I read the Mt Dew and fried bologna part I kept waiting for the j/k or the part where that was just a memory you crazy woman! I know what you mean about the all or nothing mentality I struggled with that more in the begining but still do some days. It really is hard to learn the balance of indulging in what you love occassionaly coupled with more frequent healthy choices. I'm really proud of you for deciding to make healthier choices again! There are lots of tricks to staying on track while traveling but the biggest factor is mental!

How exciting to see dance and swim pix, I'm grinning just at the thought as I know how much a swim cap changes the way my daughter looks, I have no doubt you are almost as adorable as she is lol.

How wonderful that your 20% girl is going home, red toes should perk her up, how about holiday nail art too!

Keep keepin on, I have faith in you doing that triathalon, if you need to borrow some of it just let me know ;o)

Holly,

Thanks crazy. I will accomplish my goals...I will..I will! My dance has been so consuming that the triathlon has taken a back seat. After next monday I think I will take a break and get focused on the other.

Can I tell you the last time I ate fried bologna? It is a child hood, grew up poor, fave! Some times it just calls for it:).

Mom did not feel well so we did not get the pics..ughh! Next monday is the show so worst case we will have some from that to post.

Keep up the good work. Thanks for commenting..I love it when I hear from all of you. Where the heck is everybody???

Honey I grew up on fried bologna too, it is definitely a unique taste, did your mom fry spam too? My comfort food I drag out when things get bad is rice in cream of mushroom soup. Amazing the concoctions moms can come up with to stretch the budget and fill us up huh!

I bet you will be amazing in your dance performance, you have put in practice and you dance with your heart. I know you will have pix someday, if nothing else I will hug your skinny but at the next training!

Don't sweat the lack of comments, I think you would be suprised how many people read!! I'll always be here to keep ya going if nothing else so keep on it :o)
