Monday Exercise Tip #10: Meditate

In July, at the Advancing the State of the Industry event, CND was treated to learning a great 6-minute meditation by Madeleine from Grail Springs. Even the busiest person can squeeze in 6 minutes and even the laziest bum can handle these moves. If you have not started getting healthy yet, I challenge you to start with this. Make it your morning routine right when you get out of bed!

In Madeleine’s book, the Holistic Detox, on page 47 there is a full description and photos of the mantra.

Exercise:

Face East: meditate on Gratitude

Face North: meditate on Humility

Face West : meditate on Grace

Face South: meditate on Reverence

Don’t forget to do deep breathing throughout.

Run through all poses for each direction.

Arms at your side then stretching up to the heavens (hold).

Arms down then forward, moving into a squat (knees bent, weight back on heels, toes up), join hands together stretched out in front of your head.

(Repeat this two more times.)

Then move into a balancing pose (tree pose is nice here).

Then follow this by moving onto your other leg (hold) then straight up.

Now complete this routine by bringing hands together in a prayer pose.

Bow and let your thoughts go.

Holly - I LOVE this mantra...and perform it EVERY morning! It has changed me. Not just physically, but mentally as well. I actually feel like I am thinking clearly, more than ever in my life.
It's wonderful you wrote about this--
I live this mantra every day.. and it makes me want to tell everyone about it!
Take care,
xo
