Well, the State Fair of Texas is over. The fair is an annual Texas tradition. It is in Dallas for 3 weeks. There are rides, animals, exhibits, crafts and FOOD! The fair is famous for the corny dog. There are annual contests for the most creative fried food. Contestants have created things such as fried coke (coca-cola), cheesecake, Snickers, Oreos, Twinkies, chocolate truffles and even fried latte! Fairgoers literally eat their way through the attractions!
I am very proud of my choices. I ate a cheese quesadilla and chocolate dipped strawberries (not fried). My husband and I had to park very far away so there was lots of walking around the fairgrounds. We had to bring home my favorite — cotton candy. We shared some throughout the weekend. We still have half the bag.
So, today is Tuesday. I weigh myself on Tuesday and document the progress. I am down another 2.6 pounds! I have to admit that I still do not have a daily exercise routine on my schedule. I do park further than necessary and take the longer way back. Holly challenged me last week to wake up a few minutes earlier every morning and practice the meditation moves that we did at our training in July. I do not remember all the steps to put them in order. Thanks, Holly. You are a positive little ray of sunshine!
