Friday Celebrations

Hi guys, Hannah here. Holly’s been feeling a little under the weather this week, so I want to launch our Friday celebrations. My “little victory” this week is that I went back to Weight Watchers and I stuck with the program all week. (I ate breakfast, drank all my water, wrote down everything that went in my mouth, and attempted a few days of exercise.) I don’t know how successful I was yet because I weigh in on Saturday mornings. But it felt good to be back on the program and know that I am headed (again) toward my final goal.

Also, a few of you asked about the 10K race that I mentioned in my last post. I ran a few miles two days this week. I’m nowhere near ready for the 10K (that’s 6.2 miles!) on October 4, but I’m still going to do it. I might have to walk the hills, but I do this race every year (with the rest of my town) so I don’t want to miss out this year.

One last thing: I wanted to add something to Holly’s recipe post below. Hungry Girl has been updating her fast food restaurant Survival Guides. Here are links to the ones she’s recently posted. Next week she’ll be posting Wendy’s. So make sure to check her site out (or if you haven’t already, sign up for her daily e-mail newsletter. There really are a lot of good tips.)

Leave your weekly celebrations in the Feedback section and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hannah, that is so great, I have no doubt you will see some results this week!! Expect a gain or plateau possibly along the way as you build muscle from training for your 10K and know that you will overcome it!! So proud of you :o)

Hi Hannah,

I wanted to comment on the time of day thing. My triathlon training started last Wednesday @ 5 a.m. I am getting up at 4:30 2 to 3 times a week. I thought I would hate it (that is being nice) but I have actually enjoyed it. It gives me great energy for the rest of the day and I enjoy the time alone in the water. Who Knew? Enjoy Texas and your family!
Jen
