Monday Exercise Tip #2

You'll officially meet one of our bloggers Roxanne Valinoti later this week. But today, she shares a pretty easy exercise tip.

"This is a quick and easy way to get moving without a gym. It sounds simple, but it's harder than you think! Try jumping rope in one-minute intervals, breaking for 30 seconds in between. Increase your time each day until you can do 10 minutes without stopping. It's a great warm up or an easy way to squeeze some exercise into your busy work day."

Funny, because after I posted it, I read Madeline's book and she has a section on how jumping rope helps with detox and energy.

I saw that too!! I think I am going to try to find a beaded jump rope as well, that does sound helpful, the couple times I have tried so far I keep tripping on the rope lol

Just keep doing it....it does get easier.Iam like a spaz at kickboxing too. It takes a while for you to adjust to a new activity.Well thats my "excuse" until next week.....

lol Roxanne I am glad I am not the only one that makes excuses sometimes! I am really struggling with the jump rope thing so I did place an order on the Lucie B website for a jumprope. They are custom made to your height and weight so I am curious to see if that makes a difference or if this will be one of those things I leave to the more coordinated ;o)
